Chairside Instructor, the dental case guide published by the American Dental Association, is now conveniently available as an iPhone and iPad app. With over 250 full-color dental images and 25 animations, the ADA Chairside Instructor App is a comprehensive visual resource for patient education.

The content of this app covers a wide array of prevention and treatment topics such as hygiene, anatomy, x-rays, periodontal disease, decay, various dental restorations, orthodontics, cosmetic treatments, TMJ disorders, pathologies, cracked tooth syndromes, and bruxism. It is designed to serve as a valuable tool for patient education and training for dental assistants.

The app features eight distinct categories: Oral Anatomy, Prevention and Diagnosis, Gum Disease, Caries and Restorations, Tooth Replacement, Orthodontics, Cosmetic Options, and Other Oral Conditions. It also includes informative sections on the effects of sugar on oral health, cavity filling procedures, tooth erosion, gum recession, peri-implantitis, and tobacco use.
